Joinery Operating alongside it’s extensive civil engineering and construction services, Cubby Construction maintains a well respected, fully equipped joinery factory. The high quality timber products it manufactures can be installed either by its own team of craftsmen or by third party customers and other contractors.

The large scale 20,000 square foot Kingmoor Park factory designs and manufactures a full range of bespoke joinery products; from a single baluster through specially designed hardwood doors and windows to prestigious works undertaken for residential, educational, public, religious, leisure, industrial, hospitality and commercial applications.

Cubby Construction’s exceptional craftsmanship is reflected in its extensive period reproduction work carried out for English Heritage, Carlisle Cathedral and a number of Cumbria’s other important Public Buildings.

The Carlisle factory has the equipment, plant and expertise to deliver a wide variety of specialised items used in restorations and reinstatement of period features. The Company works in a variety of soft and hard wood finishes from sustainable sources, which are fully FSC approved wherever possible.

Cubby’s reproduction components range from special moulding profiles and compound skirting; through unusual doors, windows and panelling; through to complete bell towers and staircases.

The Company’s Joinery Factory also includes a full equipped spray shop. Ideal for pre-finishing single components as well as larger built items, the temperature and dust controlled environment is used to apply undercoats and primers as well as finish coats and varnishes.
