Civil Engineering Operative

Carry out general construction and civils work, ensuring it meets the client’s expectations, and Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.

Key Accountabilities:

Carry out various tasks as directed by the Site Manager / Foreman/ Ganger, including:

  • Digging and concreting foundations
  • Tarmac works
  • Flags and block paving
  • Laying kerb’s
  • Laying drainage
  • Concrete finishing
  • Concreting
  • Deep Drainage
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted accurately and on time
  • Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
  • Work independently as well as part of a team

Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued growth and increased workload within our commercial team, we are now looking to recruit for an additional Quantity Surveyor. This will be a varied role within a busy team.

Role Purpose:

To ensure commercial and contractual control, including co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of a specified project or a range of projects. To provide guidance to other members of the Commercial/Quantity Surveying team, project teams and managers on all aspects relating to commercial activity on a specified project or range of projects.

Site Foreman

Due to continued growth and success we are looking to recruit a Site Foreman.

Overall Objective:

To work under the direction of the Site Manager or Contracts Manager to ensure that the overall construction process is effectively, safely and efficiently managed.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Comply with all Health & Safety legislation
  • To work as part of the team while, providing supervision, direction and development to all direct employees
  • Co-ordination of directly employed resources, subcontractors and material deliveries ensuring an efficient build for the entirety of the project
  • Ensure all working methods are performed correctly and to a high standard
  • Complete all required paperwork produced from site, updates, site diaries, Health & Safety, environmental, quality, environmental, material returns, HR and Payroll.
  • At all times, comply with company policies, procedures and instructions
  • Implement any new ideas/methods and seek ways of both improving contributions to the organisation’s goals ensuring the reputation of the company
  • Liaise with our client’s representatives to ensure highest possible satisfaction and all relevant inspections are completed on time.
  • Attend Site Meetings and ensure that all relevant communication is escalated to the correct positions and people

Site Manger

  • Comply with all Health & Safety legislation
  • Supervise all direct employees and subcontractors

  • Schedule works to ensure production targets are met and high quality of product is achieved
  • Ensure all working methods are performed correctly and to a high standard
  • Complete all required paperwork produced from site, updates, site diaries, Health & Safety, environmental, quality, environmental, material returns, HR and Payroll.
  • At all times, comply with company policies, procedures and instructions
  • Implement any new ideas/methods and seek ways of both improving contributions to the organisation’s goals ensuring the reputation of the company
  • Liaise with our client’s representatives to ensure highest possible satisfaction and all relevant inspections are completed on time.
  • Attend Pre-Start Meetings focused on scope, quality, and delivery of services/product in specific timescales.
