On Sunday 20 September, Carlisle Racecourse turned into a rainbow for Oak Tree Animals’ Charity’s inaugural Colour Run, and the Cubby team were proud to be there.

We sponsored a colour block along the route, and our team took charge of keeping runners hydrated and showering them in coloured powder paint as they passed. By the finish line, there wasn’t a plain white t-shirt in sight. Every splash of colour helped raise money for the animals in Oak Tree’s care.

Oak Tree Animals’ Charity, based at Oak Tree Farm near Carlisle, rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs, cats and horses, and supports thousands of animals across Cumbria every year. Events like the Colour Run play a big part in funding that work, and we were delighted to help make the day a success.

Community is at the heart of what we do, and events like this are a chance for our team to swap hi-vis for something a lot brighter. It was a joy to see so many families, friends and four-legged supporters out for a good cause.

Thank you to everyone at Oak Tree for the invitation, and to every runner, volunteer and supporter who took part.
