Cellar Bar Keswick

The Lake District Inns & Cottages has a rich portfolio of local accommodation, including, the Lodge in the Vale, Traveller’s Rest, King’s Head Inn, Infinity View, and several high specification cottages.

Determined to preserve the authentic feel and original features, this project saw the conversion of a once dated hotel (The Cellar Bar) into six luxury studio apartments, in the bustling, tourist centric, centre of Keswick.

Works consisted of a full refurbishment, starting with a demolition of the existing single storey extension, strip out and internal alterations including structural works with several new openings, steel works and extensive roof works.

A full relocation of the existing utilities, services, partition walls plastering, electrical, rewire, plumbing, smoke detection, fire engineering, tv installation and TV hib cables in each room.

Removal of internal stonework and plasterboard walls. Installation of temporary and structural supports. Installation of roof steelwork. Make good various openings. Repairs and updates to the exterior of the building, from block work to render and finally painted façade.
