Cubby Construction was appointed by Caddick Construction to deliver a comprehensive package of civil engineering and groundworks for the DPD Exchange Hub and Lorry Park development.

The contract involved installing essential drainage infrastructure, building foundations, kerbing, service ducting, and associated external works to support the new logistics facility’s development.

Working alongside other contractors, our team coordinated multiple workstreams to prepare the site for the construction of the concrete yard, vehicle wash area and access infrastructure.

The project incorporated an extensive programme of groundworks and drainage installations, including surface water and foul drainage networks, Gatic drainage channels, headwalls, kerbing and underground service ducting.

Our team also undertook the preparation and construction of the exchange hub building foundations, alongside works to accommodate lighting column bases and drainage infrastructure serving the access road and vehicle wash area.

A key element of the contract was coordinating underground drainage and service installations ahead of the phased construction of the concrete yard slabs, ensuring the necessary infrastructure was in place before subsequent construction activities commenced.

Cubby Construction’s involvement provided the essential civil engineering and drainage infrastructure required to support the development of the DPD Exchange Hub and Lorry Park.
