Hours: 39 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Plant Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our team.

Role Purpose 

Working within our Plant Hire Services Division the Plant Maintenance CoOrdinator will support the effective maintenance and safe operation of all plant and equipment by coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and providing administrative support to the maintenance team. 

Key Responsibilities 

Maintenance Coordination 

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all maintenance, repairs, and inspections are completed on all plant and equipment. 
  • Run system reports to capture upcoming maintenance requirements. 
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to complete pre-hire inspections for plant going out on hire. 
  • Organise external suppliers for maintenance carried out offsite or by approved contractors. 

Administration & Record Keeping 

  • Ensure all maintenance activity is accurately logged on the computer system, including costs, for the following:  
  • All machine service types 
  • LOLER examinations 
  • Calibrations 
  • PAT testing 
  • Raise purchase orders for parts and materials, ensuring value for money and appropriate approval processes. 

General Support 

  • Support with any additional administrative or operational tasks as required by the line manager. 

Skills & Experience 

  • Background in maintenance administratiodesirable. 
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels. 
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent computer skills and confidence using digital systems. 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Performance Indicators 

  • Accuracy and timeliness of maintenance records and system updates.  
  • Completion of scheduled maintenance tasks within required timeframes.  
  • Quality and accuracy of system reports and information provided to the maintenance team.  
  • Supplier response times and effectiveness of external maintenance coordination.  
  • Accuracy and cost-effectiveness of purchase orders raised.  
  • Compliance levels for LOLER, PAT, calibrations, and service schedules.  
  • Feedback from maintenance team and line manager regarding support provided.  
  • Overall contribution to maintaining safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations.
