T N Crosby Chemists
T.N. Crosby chemist was established in Hawick in 1951 by pharmacist Tom Crosby.
It remains the only independent, locally owned and family run community pharmacy in Hawick. Today, it is still run by the second and third generation of the same family, community pharmacists Anne and Richard Mackie.
Works consisted of the strip out and expansion of the pharmacy into the neighbouring retail space. New openings and connections were formed, full shop fitout and a new sympathetic timber shop front which was manufactured in the Cubby Joinery workshop.

“Absolutely fantastic workers. Works are going to schedule, and they are incredibly accommodating as the pharmacy is still in operation during a major structural change. They clearly understand the importance of my business being able to operate throughout. The workers are great to speak to and keep me informed of what’s going on. They even quickly knocked together a few temporary shelves and a bench for us, so the existing dispensary had a bit more space for us to work in during the building works. I couldn’t ask for more from them. I couldn’t fault anything, and I can’t think of anything they could improve on. They are a credit to the company. I’m very happy that I chose them for the job.”
