We have an exciting opportunity for Bench Joiner Apprentice to join our workshop team. There has never been a better time to join!
The Role
Based in our Carlisle head office, you will be joining our joinery workshop, to add support across all areas of the team. This is a hands-on role, where you’ll be involved in a range of practical tasks, including joinery work and product assembly both inside the workshop, out on construction sites or at a client’s property. You will be provided with extensive on the job training and will be fully supported as you study for your NVQ Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery.
Key Tasks
- Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs;
- Work from drawings to manufacture items;
- Comprise accurate cutting lists;
- Set out, machine and assemble bespoke joinery items;
- Manufacture wooden products in a production environment;
- Using a range of equipment from traditional tools to state-of-the-art computerised cutting equipment and hi-tech drawing and design software.

This is a full-time position, with day release to your chosen learning provider for example Carlisle College. Helping you work towards gaining your nationally recognised qualification. Enabling you to master Carpentry and Joinery.
