Bench Joiner Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity for Bench Joiner Apprentice to join our workshop team. There has never been a better time to join!

The Role

Based in our Carlisle head office, you will be joining our joinery workshop, to add support across all areas of the team. This is a hands-on role, where you’ll be involved in a range of practical tasks, including joinery work and product assembly both inside the workshop, out on construction sites or at a client’s property. You will be provided with extensive on the job training and will be fully supported as you study for your NVQ Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery.

Key Tasks

  • Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs;
  • Work from drawings to manufacture items;
  • Comprise accurate cutting lists;
  • Set out, machine and assemble bespoke joinery items;
  • Manufacture wooden products in a production environment;
  • Using a range of equipment from traditional tools to state-of-the-art computerised cutting equipment and hi-tech drawing and design software.

This is a full-time position, with day release to your chosen learning provider for example Carlisle College. Helping you work towards gaining your nationally recognised qualification. Enabling you to master Carpentry and Joinery.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
