Welcome to a captivating restoration and expansion project set in the heart of Langholm. The journey began with a magnificent Victorian villa, dating back to approximately 1885, which had previously served the community as a cherished hotel and, more recently, as a nursing home.
Our mission for this project was to transform this historic building into a splendid single-family residence while introducing a modern touch. To meet the unique needs of our client, who requires disabled-friendly amenities, our primary goal was to create a welcoming and accessible home, complete with a state-of-the-art hoist system.
To achieve this vision, we extended the property with a contemporary single-story steel-framed structure. This new addition houses a luxurious hydrotherapy pool and a range of auxiliary rooms, enhancing the overall functionality and comfort of the house. This remarkable transformation that combines the grandeur of a bygone era with the convenience and accessibility of today, breathing new life into this cherished piece of Langholm’s history
